Good day! My name is David
I love helping people find their way, especially teens and young adults. I offer a structured program, based on many years of mentoring and coaching college students, that is tailored for you, based on your needs, goals and personality. I hold myself and you accountable to the plan that we create together. Change is tough but having someone there beside you, providing support and guidance can make a big difference. Let me help you to go further than you thought possible and make your goals a reality.
I spent over 21 years working in the oil and gas industry for a company in the top quartile of the Fortune 500. I had the opportunity to meet and work with top executives on projects that were strategic to the company’s future. I was mentored for many years by an amazing executive who selflessly shared his knowledge and experience with me, teaching me the value of mentorship and coaching. I learned a great deal of information and met a lot of influential people in a much shorter period of time with his help.
For the last 6 years I have had the privilege to be part of a rewarding program with the University of Texas as a member of the Longhorn Engineering Advisory Delegation (LEAD). Our aim, working with the Dean, was to improve the lives of students attending the college of Engineering. To meet this end, we met with countless students, faculty and administrators; we developed programs to address specific issues, among which was a mentorship program. I’ve mentored many students across a variety of topics including academics, financial responsibility, career, student\life balance and mental health, to name a few.
These interactions with students have brought a lot of fulfillment that I didn’t have working as a project manager. I’ve used the experiences with my students to build a coaching/mentoring program that can help people be and do more than they thought were possible.
I grew up in Spring, Texas, attending Klein High School. I went on to get a Bachelors of Science in Petroleum Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. I worked as an engineer, software development and technical support, and as a project manager. I continue my education by taking online courses related to coaching and the topics that my students need help with.
I look forward to meeting you and making a difference in your life.
