Hi! I am Heather
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. I grew up right here in Spring, Texas and I am a proud graduate of Klein High School. I earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in History from Ouachita Baptist University and the University of Mississippi, respectively. I am a lifelong learner and one of my most used phrases when talking with friends and family is, “Hey, did you know....” They love it.
I’ve been a client of some gifted counselors throughout my adult life and while I’d always been interested in the counseling process, that interest became truly personal after my life’s path led me through some difficult experiences. I received my Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA in 2015. I am honored to be in a position to help others as I was helped in my season of need.
I began my professional counseling career working with children, teens, and families in a variety of settings while living in Tennessee. I am excited to be working at Calderas Counseling with a practice focusing on teens and adults. In my approach, I draw from Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
