Hi! My name is Lisa
I am excited to meet you!
Many people think seeing a therapist can be overwhelming, but therapy can help with seeing new possibilities that lead to change and growth. As your therapist, I will work to provide a safe space where you can share your feelings and increase your motivation to make changes in your life. During our lives, sometimes we know things are not necessarily wrong, but they can be better. A few small changes can bring some amazing outcomes!
I utilize the counseling theories of solution-focused and cognitive behavioral therapy. In addition, I have worked over nine years as a school counselor supporting educators, families, and students from diverse populations. I have also experienced the ups and downs of marriage and divorce.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Advertising from the University of Texas at Austin. I also have a Master’s degree in School Counseling from Lamar University. I am currently under the supervision of Tamisha Daniels, LPC-S.
My counseling experience includes working with those who struggle with anxiety, stress, self-harm, anger, and low self- esteem. I really enjoy working with teens, couples, and adults going through major changes that can include divorce, loss of a loved one, job change, or family conflicts. I know life can be challenging, but a willingness to “see change” and “make change” can create some amazing experiences for you!
