Fátima González
Client Care Coordinator & Administrative Assistant
Helping every client feel welcomed, informed, and cared for from their first interaction with Calderas Counseling.

Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, and the experience you have before ever meeting your therapist matters. You may have questions about where to begin, what to expect, how scheduling works, or who might be the right person for you. My goal is to make those first interactions with Calderas Counseling feel welcoming and approachable, so you know there is someone here who will take the time to answer your questions, help you understand the process, and make sure you feel taken care of from the beginning.
As the Administrative Assistant and Client Care Coordinator, I am often one of the first people you’ll speak with and someone you may continue hearing from throughout your time with our practice. I help with scheduling, intake, questions about our services, and the administrative details that help your experience run smoothly. I also check in with clients, communicate with our therapists, and work behind the scenes to make sure important details don’t get overlooked. I care about doing things well, and if there is something I can do to make the process easier or help you find the information you need, I will do my best to help.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude. As a research assistant in cognitive psychology and existential psychology laboratories, I explored topics including memory, meaning in life, identity, and human flourishing. I also served as a bilingual Crisis Text Line volunteer, an experience that strengthened my understanding of the importance of empathy, careful listening, and treating every person with respect. I am fluent in English and Spanish and am happy to communicate with clients in the language in which they feel most comfortable.
I believe feeling cared for at a counseling practice should extend beyond the therapy room. It’s in the way your questions are answered, the details are handled, someone follows through when they say they will, and you know there is a person you can reach when you need help navigating the process. My role is to help create that experience for you while also helping our team provide the level of care we want every client to receive. From your first conversation with Calderas Counseling and throughout your time with us, I’m here to help you feel welcomed, respected, and taken care of.

A Glimpse Into My World

How I Practice Mindfulness
I enjoy reading, walking my dogs, practicing Pilates, and finding little ways to slow down and recharge. These activities give me time to reset and enjoy the things that bring me happiness outside of work.
My Creative Side
Journaling, watercolor painting, and crocheting are some of my favorite creative outlets. I also enjoy meditation as a way to stay present, reflect, and make time for myself.
