Hi! My name is Alissa
I knew I wanted to help others from a young age, and am fortunate enough to live out that dream! My mission is to build a deep therapeutic relationship with my clients and walk alongside them, encouraging them, providing coping skills and problem-solving strategies, and tailoring the treatment to my client’s needs to improve their quality of life.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Pam Cosart, M.A., LPC-S. I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Master’s in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling. I have counseling experience with adolescents, adults, marriages, and families.
I primarily use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Emotionally Focused
Therapy (EFT) to help my clients. I see clients presenting with various concerns, including grief, anxiety, depression, women’s issues, family and marriage conflict, communication issues, life
transitions, and more.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three kids, cooking, reading, and building community with friends.
